MSPL team members located in Coimbatore, India participated in a World Environment Day Celebration held at the Ramakrishna Vidhyalaya school on June 6.  The 56 team members met with 46 students ranging from 3rd to 5th grade.  They discussed the importance of the protecting the environment and distributed saplings for planting as well as an apple in support of the Go Green food initiative at the school.  Chocolates were also distributed for those students with a sweet tooth.  Some 35 team members also participated in a community cleaning event and promoted the Go Green Food initiative in the community by distributing oranges to local residents. 

The focus of the World Environment Day for 2016 is the illegal trade of wildlife such as gorillas, elephants, rhinos, seat turtles, etc.  This year’s slogan is “Go Wild for Life” to raise awareness and help prevent the illegal trafficking and killing of these animals.
