Product Details

Pressure Relief Valves are designed for placement in the bottom or sidewall of concrete tanks to prevent damage caused as a result of the tank floating due to ground water pressure around and underneath the tank exceeding the pressure of an empty or nearly empty tank.

The Wall-Type Pressure Relief Valve is designed for side wall installation in tanks and digesters.  The valve has a 4" or 6" flanged end for connection to a flanged wall pipe.  It has an iron body and is bronze mounted, and it is equipped with a soft, composition rubber seat that allows the head of liquid in the tank to force the flap to close tightly, even in the presence of grit particles.  The seating material has been chosen for its resistance to the deteriorating effects of sewage.
