McWane Team plants Auburn life oaks in honor of centennial anniversary

Last week team members in Birmingham, AL gathered on Vanderbilt Road to plant trees to commemorate the McWane centennial anniversary.  It was at this location on October 22, 1921 that McWane Cast Iron Pipe was founded.  Phillip McWane, Will McWane, Ruffner Page, and Michael Gaston planted four Live Oak Trees to mark the occasion.  These oak trees are living descendants of the Toomer’s Oak Trees in Auburn, AL.

Plaque reads: 1921-2021 A McWane Centennial Tree.  In celebration of 100 years.  Commemorating our past, present and future. In appreciation of our team members and communities. PLANTED IN 2021.
